With an impressive culinary journey spanning over a decade across two major cities, Dejan Gligorov leads the Distrikt's kitchen as Executive Chef with passion, purpose, and international experience. His story with Marriott began in 2014, driven by a deep love for hospitality and a dedication to delivering exceptional food quality.
Dejan officially joined the Marriott family in 2015 as a Demi Chef de Partie at the prestigious Marriott Hotel in London. Immersed in one of the world's most competitive culinary landscapes, he refined his craft and built a solid foundation by working alongside some of the industry's top professionals.
In 2016, Dejan brought his growing expertise home to Macedonia, joining the Skopje Marriott Hotel as a Sous Chef. His leadership, precision, and creative vision played a key role in elevating the hotel's culinary standards. After years of successful contributions, he returned to London in 2023, where he stepped into the role of Head Chef. Leading a diverse and dynamic team, Dejan continued to exceed expectations and uphold the high standards of the Marriott brand.
Now, with a wealth of international experience and a renewed sense of purpose, Chef Dejan returns to his hometown as Executive Chef of the Skopje Marriott Hotel and Distrikt. His vision is to blend global influences with the rich flavors of the local culinary scene, crafting a dining experience that is refined, innovative, and unmistakably Skopje.
Beyond the kitchen, Dejan is a passionate mountaineer, mountain runner, cyclist, skier, and swimmer. His love for sport fuels his resilience, discipline, and teamwork—qualities that define both his leadership style and his approach to hospitality.
